General Cycling Discussion - First Group Ride

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Went on my first group ride this morning - really enjoyed it. I found it wasn't a problem to keep up with the group (I even managed OK during the sprint at the end!), and great cup of coffee and muffin to finish off. Thanks to 'MediaCreations' for contacting me and suggesting I come along. If, like me, you've just been riding solo, try to find a group. Puts a whole new dimension in cycling.

I completely concur. Comraderie adds an uplifting dimension to cycling. I even find that those grueling climbs seem less strenuous in company. When others are around, there's less tendency to dwell on the task at hand. Misery loves company? ;)
Strain that chain,
