Holy cow...those fellas are bookin'!! You gotta love Tyler Hamilton, 30 miles in just under 58 minutes, unbelievable. I hit 30 mph once, flying down a steep ass hill!! I guess that's why he's in the olympics and I'm watching him on TV. Oh well...I'm happy at 17 mph...for now!!
Nope, I missed it. I blinked.
:D

Yeah I saw those, way to go Tyler Hamilton. I think he got 2nd, and someone from Germany got 1st, but there was another American not far behind from Hamilton.

Why is it that boxing and loosing tennis players get prime or near prime time and gold, silver and bronz time trial medalists get middle of the day and middle of the night time slots?

I'm pretty sure Hamilton got the gold, Ekimov from US Postal got the silver, and Bobby Jullich (the other american) got the bronze.
The ladies didn't do so badly either, 27.8 to 28.6mph over 14.9miles. Coverage of
the TT on network really sucked though. A German was the early leader but was
dropped to 4th place when the dust settled in the men's TT. Steve
why can they do 53 miles in an hour on the track but on the road they only get 30 mph? yes i realise that was using a more aero postion.. but they still can get like 49 miles in a legal postiion on track

Well they arent fighting the wind and the uneven level of the road.

No doubt. Nothing like making an hour long race exciting by condensing it into 2 minutes (or less)!

No-one can do 53 miles, more like 53km..
When's the bike stuff gonna be on TV? Do I have to stay up late night to catch the good stuff? All i've seen is swimming and gymnastics.

Yeah, I watched both TT, but as a woman am obviously more prone to compare myself to the women. An average of 28.6 mph is just amazing to me. Compared to the level I'm at (I've been road cycling for just a few months), they seem nearly like a different species!

Both (men's and women's) road races and time trials have been shown already. I'm not sure about track--is that currently going on? The mountain bike races are gonna be shown overnight next weekend.
