I'm buying a bike to train on before I drop tons of $$ for the real deal for my extended trips. Here's a more full explanation:

So, I was told to check with you guys to see if a bike is worth buying or not. I'm 6'1 - this bike is a 20" frame - 26" wheels - mongoose MTB - he's putting a rack on it now - say he bought it used 4 years ago - he's got tons of bikes - $125.
