I'm re-building a cup n cone BB from an 84 Trek 520. The Sakae axle is in very nice shape as are the bearings. The cups are a little iffy and I can source them from Harris Cycles for $20+ or get a full cup and bearing set from Pyramid and Amazon for $3.55+. Is this a simple "You get what you pay for" or is this a good deal? Any comments on Pyramid parts from Niagara Cycle Works!

If you go with the Niagara product, just consider buying directly from Niagara, and add some other items to the order to make the shipping worth the trouble. I order from Niagara every month or two. Good deals on consumables. Check their clearance area for really good deals.

Before I went with the $20 option, I would consider a Shimano cartridge BB. You can get one for around that price or less.

$20 will buy you a un-5x series shimano bottom bracket.
