Ebay announces new bicycle selling rules:

1. The frame size must be listed in the listing title. No exceptions.

2. Sellers that end listings early with valid bids will be required to pay the highest
bidder at the time of the end of the listing 25% of the high bid.

3. The following terms are forbidden from use in the description:
“Lightly used”, “Used for one season”, “Used for one ride only”
Actual or estimated mileage is the only acceptable description.
If mileage is unknown, it will be stated as such.

4. Sellers that list bikes for their racer buddies must state so.

5. Fuzzy or un-viewable pictures of the item listed will be removed.

6. Links to manufactures web sites with the phrase “please do your own
research” are also banned.

7. Any listing that also openly states the item is also for sale locally will be removed.

8. Bags will be prohibited as a shipping device.

I can dream, can’t I?

Howse about getting them to post their listings into the correct cycling categories?

What always befuddles me is when I see low-end bikes where the Buy It Now price plus the S&H are higher than for what one can buy the bike from mass market chains. Or from Amazon.

Even with all of those new rules, I see that it's still OK to wire the money to Nigeria from whence they will then ship the bike.

Apparently you have never wasted countless hours looking for the correct size bike or had the seller pull a listing to get $5 more on CraigsList or or bought a set of "used for one ride" wheels that were used by someone else for 500 rides or had an expensive carbon part shipped in a bag only...............

How about this one: Sellers prohibited from using the term "Not Colnago (or other popular brand)" in the title?
