Hello guys,
My problem is that I ride all winter and my V-brakes get EXTREMELY CLOGGED UP. I want to remove them but even if I remove the bolt and pull them out, they won't come off the suspension fork. Is there another way to remove the V brakes?!

Grease the posts up before you put them back on. That way they won't get stuck as easily for next time.

also, if there is caked on goodness try getting it cleaned off first with a scratch pad or something rough. then do your greasing and it won't get stuck nearly as bad.

i used to have to strip mine down at least once a month in Winter, I have now seen the light and bought a bike with Avid BB7 discs. I'm sure I'll need to strip and service them , at some point, sure won't be once a month though!
