Howdy All,
I'm new to the forum and joined to get more information and a rough estimted value for a vintage F.W. Evans Lightweight I just aquired.
Frame is smaller... 52-53 cm
Has a hand full of vintage Capagnolo components inluding Headset, shifters, break levers break covers, front hub, cranks and chain rings, Front and Back derailleur, front wheel, seat post. I also need help identify what type of campy this stuff is.
Other components... Phil Wood (very cool no maintanance) rear hub, Modolo breaks, seat is torn but its italian can't remember the name, rear wheel is a mavic rim
Paint is in okay shape... except for one big spot on the top tube... see pictures...
I road it to work today after doing a quick tune, assembly, and quick clean up... rides nice, fast, smooth, quiet... I wish it was big enough for me.
Not sure what to do with this bike... Fix it up further... new seat, chain, take apart and rebuild with what it has, re paint , or tuch up.
Or strip for the components and find the frame a new home since its too small. But seems like a shame to strip it down when it already works together well.
Your comments are greatly appreciated. I've got another projet Zunow I'm going to post as well not sure if this should go in C&V or if there is a better place.
