Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. I'm hoping someone here has a decent source for tamper-resistant screws and bolts. I'd like to replace certain bolts on my bike with these if possible to help reduce the chances of things like saddles, seatposts, and stems/handlebars walking off when I'm locked up somewhere. I'm mainly looking for tamper-resistant hex and Torx drive hardware (the kind with the pin in the middle). Ideas?

I've used hot glue to fill hex heads before, but it makes working on your bike a total pain.

i use candle wax. it willl definately slow a thief down, but is easy enouph to work on if you have the right tool to pick it out.

Go find a screw shop in your area (many places have em.....and c'mon guys keep your heads outta the gutter mmkay ;) ). Here in San Jose, they have a shop called Mr. Metric, that has everything metric, and SAE...security fasters, etc.
I agree with mcmaster. They usually get products to our company over night for everything. Slightly more expensive than direct from the source but they're worth it.

Kryptonite makes a set of wheel skewers & a seat post binder bolt with a special key pattern like on car tires. Check out their site. Not sure if that's what you looking for.
