Pacific Northwest - Seattle bike swap...What did y'all get?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I scored a set of white Bluemels fenders with hardware for my fixed gear, 2 Campy NR front derailleurs and a Lambert "Death Fork" for my collection. I'll probably make a table lamp out of it. It's my second one so I'll have a matching pair!

Tons of fun...So what did you score?

Dang... missed it. I had to "work". Lucky for me I'm going to the Portland Bike Swap tomorrow: http://nw-trail.org/swapmeet

Portland swap eh? Helluva bike ride to get there...I'll plan on hitting it next year. There is also a good swap (for vintage stuff) on March 28th at the Kent Armory...I'll be there.

Hmm... I might come up. I'm clearing out my "hanger queens"- I'm considering taking off the NR stuff from my retro-recumbent: http://home.comcast.net/~jeff_wills/lightning/index.htm and selling it.

Sorry I missed the Seattle Swap but I'm in need of some misc items
One front Dia-Compe brake ('84 era)
Two 130mm quill stems (is 140mm ever available?)
At least one set of vintage hubs (not too particular)

Are these the types of things to be found at the Kent swap?
Or is it more of a place to buy complete vintage bikes?
Or both?

There will be tons of parts (and completes) at the Kent swap...Mostly vintage road & balloon tire stuff. 130-140mm stems are a tall order....

Had a blast again this year - met Abarth and enjoyed talking with Kpug again. Pretty nutty the first 90 minutes or so. The list of things I got include:

Peugeot PX-10 frameset (thanks Kpug - I'm loving it and haven't even built it up yet)
Modolo brakes
CTA handlebars with the engraved lion found on many Peugeots in the 80's
Forte CR150 Ti pedals
Used full zipper jersey for those 100+ degree days
Campy front derailleur - not sure of the model
Two Continental Sprinter tubular tires

I'm still looking for another Simplex style derailleur - prefer the SX 410, 610 or 630. Super LJ's are just out of the budget these days. Too bad the Kent swap meet is on a Sunday - I can't make that one.

Maybe I can talk my friend who's going to France this summer into visiting a few bike shops and locating a derailleur or two for me.

Please inform your friend that he is officially my new best friend and therefore obligated to pick some stuff up for me too! I'd like a NOS still in the box Jubilee drivetrain (for Campy dropout), a set of gold Mafac Raids, gold Simplex Retrofrictions and a gold SLJ 5500. Might as well get a full factory service cabinet for Mavic components too...And some misc. small builder Super Vitus frame in 50cm to toss it all on!

Pretty please?

It was great seeing you again too! Hope the frame works better for you...Just a tad on the big side for me which makes me kinda sad. Did they make a smaller PX10?

Not much of a shopping list is it - I wouldn't mind a Super LJ, but man, are they getting expensive. Couldn't imagine what a gold set would go for.

Speaking of Mavic, I passed on some brakes and got the Modolo's instead. The Mavics were a little too rich for me - but man were they nice.

Hey Kelly: Ya still got the Moto mixte?

Sure do! It's currently broken down waiting in line for some upgrades/changes and a rebuild...There are 2 bikes ahead of it.

missed it due to a friends b-day -- really wanted to go but had to be out of town.
