Hey folks. Sadly, last night my work horse track wheels were stolen from my storage unit. They were cane creek volos tubs and I was very happy with them. With the season coming close I'm needing some new wheels. I do have options. I have a set of low flange DA hubs which I'm considering lacing to a pair of mavic reflex tubs which is my most cost effective option since i'd build them myself and would only need to purchase spokes at this point. I missed out on the cane creek fire sale on ebay which is unfortunate. So I guess my question for you folks is what are your suggestions...well not really, more like what deals have you come across recently, as I'm doing some searching online and locally as well. If I'm not building the DA/reflex wheels, which I was saving for separate unrelated projects, I'm looking at around 600 for an off the peg tub wheelset.
