I have this on one of my kids laptop and cannot get rid of it. When I download a virus scan it blocks it. If I go to a site that says something about it, it redirects it. I even bought a McAfee full protection kit and it blocks it. What do I do?

Sometimes, you can get around the virus/malware preventing scans, by renaming the executable of the scanner you're trying to use. Like, renaming mbam.exe to bacon.exe, or something like that.

Why do I suggest "bacon.exe" you ask? Because, bacon is just that awesome. ;)

Bacon does make everything better. I will try that and then maybe have some bacon.

Or you can use a boot cd and use that to clean the virus off the drive.

Ultimate Boot cd (http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/) (haha, just typo'ed that as the ultimate Botto cd...)
Ultimate boot cd for windows (http://www.ubcd4win.com/downloads.htm)

If you can get to malwarebytes site, donwload and run malwarebytes. Maybe donwload it to another computer, burn the file to a cd and then install it on the bad computer that way.
