Foo - I don't think we'll make it to 2012

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Chile got hit with a 8.8 earthquake in the morning, then OK got hit with a 4.4 in the afternoon. The third (and largest one yet) since last Saturday.

I don't think you should worry unless the next earthquake splits your home in two.
The closer we get to 2012, the more paranoia there is as illustrated by this graph:

I've been stocking up on Elmers glue, and Sakrete. Gonna combine the two, and fix stuff when it happens so no worries here :thumb:

How did you get a graph from the future?
He has a DeLorean and a food processor.

Me too but for completely different reasons. After the Apocalypse I'm going to be king (of glue ,sakrete and maybe a tiny group of mice I'll call the Gondoliers.)!
... and the earthquake moved the earth's axis - thereby shortening our days ...

Meh. 4.4 isn't even worth mentioning outside the local news. There's an average of around 35 earthquakes between M4 and M5 worldwide every day (estimated because a lot of them are too remote to be detected).
Check out this list:

Bigger earthquakes get increasingly rare, however. The frequency drops by roughly an order of magnitude for each integer increase in Richter magnitude. M5's are roughly 1/10 as common as M4's. M6's roughly 1/10 as common as M5's, etc. A magnitude 4 is about 10,000 times as likely to occur as a magnitude 8.
