before watching Canada defeat the USA men's hockey team in o/t, i got in a couple of hours and discovered two things.

thing one: i like having fenders on my bike in the slop (sks raceblades)

thing two: i revisited my no-ipod rule. switched from the isolating sennheiser buds to the oem buds, and felt better able to handle traffic sounds.

now, time for some beer

What are "non-sequiturs"?

Correct. Go again.

Nonsensical threads for $400, Alex.

i guess the hockey makes up for having to live in a bland, albeit polite, part of the world.

haha I wouldn't call my life bland...cross between californication and office space. Quite enjoyable life.

I'll take BC's "blandness" any day.

25 years ago, I would have agreed with you. Knowing though, that you are a cultured and normally insightful person I find your remark odd, and an indication you need to come back and explore. It isn't your grandfathers Canada.

Ironically, it was that which lead me to post about the Canadian backcountry. Which is not bland and can be brutally impolite to the unprepared.

Just a different viewpoint.
