Mongoose's have gone to crap since walmart has distributed them. I wouldn't get one if I were you, and i forget what dk stands for. I think nothing maybe?

Not sure on DK, but any forged 3-piece cranks (like Mongoose) are crap. Tubular chromoly cranks are much better, but still have to live up to certain quality standards. The bottom line standard for 3-piece cranks are Profiles which are the beginning, middle, and end of where you should look for 3-piece cranks. They are expesnive, but they work. I have had problems with a bunch of different companies cranks in my life and have never once had a problem with Profiles.

Now, there are other decent cranks out there, but no cranks get the same rave reviews that Profiles do. Primos are probably the most controversial, because so many people like and run their cranks... But, I would never ride street and use aluminum cranks, it just doesn't make sense. I personally use Haro cranks but will probably switch back to Profiles when I get a new frame.
