Mostly my Specialized Bighit...for xc, dh etc...(I also ride my gf's banshee for a totally different feel)
But
When my Kona roast has parts I ride it for xc and leave the bighit for dh. But my roast is stripped.
And
I have a transition Street or Park coming in. Frame only...I will build it up and either turn it over for profit or keep it for street riding :)

Yeah i have an old Giant Boulder which i started MTB on. Good bike, will last you ages.

A friend of mine just got a boulder and he loves it. He had a 4100 trek and loves the giant's feel hands down. It is a nice looking bike.

What's the difference between the Boulder and the Boulder SE?
at my LBS, the specialized hardrock XC is selling for around $260 and the Boulder for $299...which one's the better deal to go for?
I boulder has nicer trigger shifters tho i think while the hardrock has the grip shifts but what about their constructions in general, are they pretty similar?

at my LBS, the specialized hardrock XC is selling for around $260 and the Boulder for $299...which one's the better deal to go for?
The Boulder has a steel frame and lower-end components. The Boulder SE has a better, lighter aluminum frame and better crankset, rear derailleur (Acera instead of Altus) and I believe the fork is also a bit better.
There is not much difference between the Hardrock XC and the Boulder SE component-wise. The SE just has an Acera rearderailler instead of an Altus but I believe the Hardrock frame is more durable? FWIW, in that price range (maybe a little more) the Haro V2 (http://www.harobikes.com/2004/v2/) seems like a good buy. Alivio rear derailleur, 8-speed instead of 7 and Alex DM18 double-wall rims. Anyway, hope this helps. :)

I don't know if the Hardrock frame is really that more durable then the Boulder (Which is why I put the ? there). I recall reading about it here but it would be better if someone else could tell more about it. Personally, I would go with the Haro. Much better parts for just a small increase in price. :)
