Bicycle Mechanics - Need Straddle Cables For Centerpull Brakes???

Hi All

I’m having a hard time finding straddle cables for the center pull brakes like the Dia-Compe or Weinnman center pull brakes. I checked all the bikes shop in my area and nobody can come up with any source at all. Just wondering if any of you have any leads for me where I can get 2-sets of these cables.

Quality Bike Parts has two "Double Ended Center Pull Rear" straddle wires in their catalog. Unfortunately there is no picture in the on-line version.

Maybe one of these will work? Any bike shop can order them.

Oops, I was thinking straddle cable for cantilevers. They may also have them for the calipers you show.

You might also call Harris Cyclery (www.harriscyclery.com) up in Boston. Sheldon Brown seems to specialize in old bike parts and may have some wires stashed away.

the LBS around here stocks straddle cables in several different lengths...you obviously need to move. :D
