I have about 20-30 old table saw blades. Anyone know a good use for them, other than selling them for scrap?

Some custom knife makers use them for blades.

If you have a friend with access to a water jet/laser cutter you can turn them into brake rotors or sprockets...

Resharpen, then use as table saw blades.

Mount them on the wall as decoration. Right next to the old chainrings.

Have an artist paint a country scene on it and sell it as art.

The hardware store I work at has a program that offers a $5 trade in toward the purchase of a new saw blade if you bring in an old one, so long as it isn't missing any teeth. I'm sure we're not the only ones who do this.

This is the one that was used to cut the lumber in my house--it's about 3 feet across.
I painted it with blackboard slating and bolted it to the wall in the hallway.
I use it as a my message board.

Just bolt them to your big chainring as a badass chainguard.

That would be badass, you have to admit!

You'd get something worse than a chain ring tattoo if you leaned the wrong way though...

Pain hurts...but only for a minute. Scars heal....and the chics dig it. (or something like that)

As above, resharpen carbide blades. If you know a roofer or will be doing some yourself, run them backwards to use a circular saw for cutting long lines of asphalt shingles. Great for trimming ends of roofs.

Not trivets. The metal will conduct the heat too well and could ruin your finish.

I used one to remove a thumb once. That hurt because it was mine and I was only 3/4 successful.

Unless you know how, take them to a saw sharpener. Sometimes building supply stores will either do it or at least know of someone who does.

Go ahead and tell me. I'm kind of handy. Just never sharpened a saw blade before.

Turning them backwards is also good for cutting sheet metal roofing. Just wear earplugs. ;)

Another use requires a Gravity Gun. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lp2Eusoqvo4)

Thanks Metzinger. I learned from my father about 35 years ago and have never researched it on line. You saved me the leg work.
