Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

The Mistral sounds like a Puch, which I believe was an Austrian make. Elswick was an independent British manufacturer - originally Elswick-Hopper. If yours says Elswick-Falcon that dates it pretty closely to the period between when Elswick bought the Falcon company and when they ceased using the Elswick name, which I think was around the 70s. You may find more on Classic Rendezvous (http://www.classicrendezvous.com/).

Good luck

John

Hi everyone:)

I'd like to ask if anyone knows anymore about Elswick bikes (not Flacon or Elswick-Falcon) please?
It's a 3-speed and has a sweet headlight that turns on if the front wheel is turning (I forget what this action is called- anyone?).
It's a nice bike, not sure if it's collectable but I need to be 4" shorter to ride it! :D
