Has anyone been out on the Central Park Drive recently? The forecast for the upcoming weekend looks good and I was wondering if the drive is still wet and sandy from all the past snowstoms or dry and clean.

Gee, that takes me back. That, and those Army cadets (reservists?) doing jumping jacks, always made my morning. Now I hear there are rabid raccoons. A friend of mine said they were spotted on Harlem Hill.

I've seen raccoons in CP at the south end, just inside the park where you could see them over the wall from the street. And they're all over Brooklyn. I've never seen a coyote. I ran over a snake once in Brooklyn, a big one.

raccoons have been identified in a rabies outbreak, steer clear everyone.

the drive is in good shape, finally dried out today, the last couple days was very wet. And I saw the Coyote on the hudson river yesterday! I'm an avid golfer and in the good weather months I play at split rock 3-4 times a week and we see them up there every once in awhile. Must have caught the 6 train down to manhattan!
