It warms up and makes you think the worst is over. And once you are ready to go out in shorts and a t-shirt, BAM! back to record low's.

I was all prepped up to ride this morning or walk the trail with a friend. Now it's raining.

It's so pleasant they have nothing else to whine about. If it gets any sunnier in Texas I'm going to lose it.

Well I'm happy that we are going to have green hills this spring rather than brown ones like we normally do.

That's why you always wear a good hat. That way, rain or shine, you're ready for anything.

It's sunny and 25ºC this evening. The forecast is for it to remain warm and fine for the weekend and into next week.:D

we are into a nice warm Autumn here.

Yeah. We have one or two decent days and then BAM! the downpours come back. I think I've spent more time on a trainer over the last 2 months than I have in the past two years.

even w/ the doors and windows closed at night the house still smells like cherry blossoms, which the neighborhood has been full of for a few days now.

Try living in Upstate NY. It was really sunny today...but there is about a foot of heavy packed down snow out there. YUCK!

Roads are clear, gonna go for 5 miles tomorrow on my beater bike...just to get out of the house!

this thread is not a ruben thread. Let me fix it for y'all (did i get that right?)

Why is the weather so unpredictable? It is like a marriage, blowing hot and cold.

yeah ... took my summer bike to a favorite spot 100 miles from my house only to get out and see it's blowing and gusting. ugh. after about 50 minutes a storm blows in complete with snow squalls and rain. ugh. cut my ride short cuz it got dark and I wasn't dressed for those conditions.

I'm not hoarding snow. It's those damn Chinese. They keep it in Tibet.

Then instead of hoarding snow, use the time to clean the right garage... :thumb:

Anyone living below 7K feet and complaining about the cold is a complete wuss...just sayin'.

My first (failed) year in college was at the University of Fairbanks, AK. Elevation 446 feet. There was a two week cold snap that January where the highest recorded temperature was -50F.

For two years after that, I worked out of Deadhorse, AK, elevation 59 feet and just shy of the Arctic Ocean. I'd check the weather every morning during breakfast and was usually pleased to note that it was colder in Fairbanks. Really puts -30F in perspective knowing that my former classmates were stuck in the -40s and -50s.

I live in Anchorage now, elevation 102 feet. Every once in a while we see high -20s, but rarely. I prefer the midteens, but am comfortable and happy down to 0F. Below that, I try not to whine too loudly, just in case someone from Fairbanks could hear me.

It's only awesome when I go outside.

Fixed that for you. If you don't like it, send it up here.
