Northern California - 3.7.10 Long Ride

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I'm looking to set up a long ride from somewhere near the Peninsula this Sunday (lighter rain than Saturday).
Any suggestions? My first idea was to ride from Woodside to Gilroy and back, but that has been called "boring". I'm looking for something in the range of 100 from Woodside area, or 130m from Mountain View. Doesn't have to be super hilly, as Solvang isn't going to be, my hope is just to get used to seeing that 1XX on the odometer for the day.
Ideas? Anyone else want to join in?

Anyone? There aren't even any mountains on this...

Haha.. I'm sure you are being sarcastic.
I did not put Hicks and Metcaff in there for nothing... But they are the only hard climbs, so should be a nice ride.
Hicks and Metcalf are difficult, hard, steep, hills! They don't gain more than like 600ft!

Eh, who knows. Maybe someone will decide to jump on at the last minute.
To be fair this probably wasn't an ideal "meet new friends" kind of ride - those seem to be more in the 50-70mile range from what I can tell. I don't post a lot of my rides as I consider anything less than 3h just not worth the bother - I know my local riding partners and typically take care of small rides off-line. Kudos Chris for putting it out there anyway - perhaps we'll get some new faces for Henry's "welcome back Pete" ride next Sat?

+1 to Beaker.

I was planning on riding part of it, but I slept through both of the alarms. :(

It's better than none!
Anyway, what you all missed by staying home: Beautiful weather, a bunch of mechanicals, and a lot of fun, rolly miles.

Let's see ... what was I doing instead of riding??? Hmmm ... pigging out at dim sum ... watching basketball with my dad (I hate basketball ... they should play it on ice, and raise the net 1 feet). Oh, and having to spend over 3 hours in the airport, because my stupid flight back was delayed ... was originally supposed to leave at 4:45 PM, and didn't end up leaving until 7:30 PM. It's not like there was any hurricane, snowstorm or anything like that! Only thing they told me was some maintenance thing in Sacramento. Bogus, dude!

I went to Church, got some coffee, then stayed at home with my kids while my wife is in Omaha. I finally cleaned my bike from last Saturday though. :)

Chris:
Even your casual rides are epic. Guess your knees are better now, eh? :-)

Question - how'd you save that screen from garminconnect?

It's just a screenshot, captured with Mac Grab-It or whatever. Similar to snag-it screen capture for everyone else.
