Northern California - Cyclist hit by MUNI bus, driver does not stop
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

And don't even think it was because the driver wanted to stay on schedule. I mean it's MUNI, right?

Is it just me or does it seem like Muni drivers are required to take LSD before beginning their shift?

Having spent most of my life in the Bay Area, I'm only surprised that the driver didn't throw the bus into reverse and finish the job. Muni drivers must be getting soft.
And there is no way Muni drivers do acid before their runs. Meth, maybe. PCP, even more likely. Acid does not usually produce the kind of aggression and nastiness that I have seen and read about from Muni drivers for almost 50 years.
Accountability from a Muni driver? Surely you jest. Those folks have a union that makes the Teamsters look like a bunch of panty-waists when it comes to work rules.
More seriously, I hope the rider is okay. Any news on that front?
