The ice cream is coming, but you'll have to wait.

gas? no thanks, kicked the habit.

Finally car free. My roomate's car has died, so she paid about 2,000 to fix mine up. Rather then involve any cash, I'm living rent free to make up the difference. Went to the courthouse to change over the title today.

I'm in a university town, so it's transit, bike, and two feet and a heartbeat.

I need a new bike. something for the weather. I'm thinking old road frame convert to single speed with some touring tires. I want to do paniers first, then a trailer. Maybe fenders, but I can be fairly weatherproof on the clothing.

In an unrelated note I'm making ice cream with liquid nitrogen tomorrow for students at the local Jr. High.

Great time with the ice cream. We actually made some liquid oxygen accidentally. After doing the dots, we usually pour the excess liquid nitrogen into a dewar. We didn't have it, so it went into a stainless steel bowl. The bowl was cold enough that we had blue liquid oxygen condensing on the outside. We knew it wasn't water because the higher, warmer part of the bowl was already frosted over.
