I got TiVo!

I just miss so many cycling events, plus I've been missing other shows that I like to watch (like Ab Fab, Coupling, and BBC World News), so I called TiVo just to ask some initial questions, but when they said shipping was free and no taxes, I just swallowed real hard, then I went ahead and ordered it! They said about 6 business days, so once it gets here, I will have my wireless network set up and ready to go, then I'll plug in my TiVo, and I'll be damned if I miss one more event or show again! Whooo hoooo! I've been TiVo-ized! Then if I like something, I'll just tape it to my VCR and cut out the commercials.

I am still a little bit in shock. I haven't dropped money like that since I bought my bike! Thanks to all the TiVo owners out there who taunted the rest of us with their TiVo purchase. I got the TiVo 80 hour, plus the lifetime programming. I'm set! :)

Sure! I hear there's a new television show called "Clubhouse" about a young scrapper that gets to be a bat boy for a NY Yankee's-type baseball team. I'll give you all the juicy details every single week! :p

Honestly, if I had room for yet another bike, I wouldn't even be posting about the Tivo. But I've bought two new bikes this year already, and with my other two, that brings me to 4 bikes crammed in my little studio. There's no more room for a bike. My next move is definitely looking towards purchasing at least a two bedroom so I can keep all my bikes and maybe get a few more in the process...

you won't regret your Tivo - ever! it means that the couple of hours you DO spend in front of the tv each week will be spent exactly the way you want. even watching the news while getting ready for work is better - if you're in the other room and they finally say something you wanted to see/hear - you can rewind when you get back to the TV.

just one helpful hint - even if you don't have time to watch TV for awhile, occasionally check your to-do list to make sure it isn't missing anything. there are occasional blips on the program guide (ok, at least with the Directv combo box) where things can go missing. All of USA 'blipped' the other day and i would have missed Dead Zone if i hadn't checked the list.
