Doesn't anyone remember a video tutorial of a handlebar tape job where the mechanic uses a spanner to hold the tape in place towards the end? I remember seeing it here, but now I can't find it. It was a really good tutorial, and the guy used the figure eight method around the brake levers.

Thanks in advance.

Nice video. Watched the first part too. In that video the guy goes into specifics about starting the tape "clockwise" on the left side of the handlebars. He also does the 'figure 8" wrap on the brake hoods. It is OK to say to start "clockwise" on the left side, but when doing the right side of the handlebars, the wrap would need to be "counterclockwise", correct? I mean, to make the "figure 8" look right, the wrapping on the opposite side should be the reverse, yes?

Yeah, you start wrapping towards the inside of the bar on each side.
