Hey, I have a Giant Iguana Disc bike (2003 model) and am having a hard time finding a replacement left crank arm. The old one's square eyelet is not really square anymore, if you know what I mean...the type of crank I need is a black 175 mm. Sounds simple, but the square eyelet that actually connects to the crank is not a diamond, but a square, if you know what I mean (if I hold the crank arm so it is vertical, the eyelet is a square). I am having a hard time finding this type of crank (my bike dealer just says the eyelet is 'horizontal'). Also, my dealer (not a Giant dealer...not one for over a hundred miles away) has tried to order it, but they are sold out of them at the moment.
Is there a term I can use that would improve my search for this type of crank. Or does anyone know where I could find one?
The brand of the broken crank arm is SR-Suntour.
Also, is there any specs besides the 175 mm and color that I need to pay attention to when I eventually find a 'horizontal' crank? I have seen stuff about spindle size around 112 (mm I guess)...
