The steer tube on my archaic yet kickass carbon fiber Judy is so short that I can't replace the stem on it and get a new stem to securely clamp on. It's old enough that the crown and steerer bolt on the the lowers with two allens on each leg. I think my LBS might have an old Judy that they'll let me take the crown/steerer off of and put on the fork I've got. How difficult of a procedure might this be, mechanical doctors? Does this transplant have any chance of succeeding? Any pointers if you've performed such a surgery before on your own stuff?
