Foo - Foo gives good advice - just sayin'

so i had me a time trial of sorts to do this morning, needed to qualify for a local club training SIG... I wanted to shave some time off to make it into the faster range so as to be able to ride with some buddies who are also doing it. But my performance has been even more lackluster than usual on account of the fact that the only sport I have indulged in since Thanksgiving is Extreme Eating.

Thanks to FOO, I somehow did it - knocked about 19 mins off a 24 mile course. My nemesis is anything relating to my bulk being challenged by gravity - so I took Tom Stormcrowe's advice and applied some Buddha breathing techniques and lo & behold, I became the time trial I wanted to be. So, thanks, Tom!

Oh, and I also want to thank you, Jsharr - I brought along the ziploc baggie you recommended and when i coughed my lungs up they fit in there just fine.

I needed to bring the extra large 'freezer' size, what with the fatty gristle and all, but still. It kept my jersey pockets clean and dry.:thumb:

Well this one is pertaining to YOU, Pgoat. It's been a looooooong time since I ate them but I brought a box of Cheez-its to work..you know, to share. Well everyone kept putting their hands into the box and taking the box from each other. Watching them fight over those crackers was a pretty sad sight. You would think that they haven't eaten in days..

When one person pipes up, "I forgot how GOOD these are!"

I really didn't want any after seeing their grubby fat hands in there - the box was tearing - so I just walked out of the breakroom and let them at it. I must have gotten about maybe SIX little squares. Dang barbarians.

You're welcome for the Buddha Breathing advice. It's served me well for a long time. :D 6 billion+ Asians can't be wrong, you know. ;) I learned it in Tai Chi and Yoga and adapted it to cycling and running.

Get the lung reinstalled post haste. Now that the news is out that there is fresh bagged lung to be had, x136 will be at your doorstep as soon as he can google your address and hitchhike to your house.

I learned this the hard way and got a cool new nickname, ol one lung jsharr.
