I am 196cm (6'5") and about 260lbs. I bought a 2007Schwinn Le Tour GS (XL) the other day to get back into cycling, mostly for exercise and commuting.

I am thinking it is slightly too small for me but maybe I could upgrade to longer cranks, and a longer stem for the handlebar as it seems pretty close to the right size. It was hard for me to pass this bike up as it had a lot of upgrades and was selling at 1/3 the original MSRP.
I'd appreciate any advice you can give on what I can do to make a bike like this suitable for someone my size.
