Hybrid Bicycles - Just picked up a Trek 7.2, what to do with it?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I have a nice hybrid, a Specialized Sirrus I bought new about 3 years ago. It is set up for road mostly but has fenders and stuff for commuting. I didn't need the Trek but the deal was really good so I had to buy it.

The thing is, I have a drop bar pure road bike, a new Specialized Mountain bike and a hybrid already. With my road bike, hybrid and mt bike, I have all my bases covered. What gap or role can the Trek fill or be made to fill that I am lacking?

I am thinking the Trek 7.2 is more off road oriented than my Sirrus and is more of a true "hybrid" in that sense. It seems the perfect bike for riding about the bike path around the city they just built. There are parts of the path that are not so smooth so the bigger tires of the Trek would work well.

Or, I could just tune it up, clean it and sell it for a profit. I Just spent a small fortune on cycling shoes so maybe I could replenish my bank account with the profits.

You could keep it around as a loaner-bike. Then you have something to give a friend when s/he rides w/you.

could you part it out? it sounds like you don't need any other bikes so why not sell it
