Traveling to Texas next week, and thinking about how to get my Mezzo there. I checked with Fedex. They estimate four days for ground shipment to get to Texas. I don't like airports or air travel since the era of TSA. Has anyone tried this method? Since I will be staying with my daughter, I do have an address to ship the bike.

Where in Texas? You could take Amtrak's Lake Shore Limited to Chicago, then the Texas Eagle. Two day trip, but your Mezzo rides at no additional cost.

I like the shipping idea, provided you have a good box or case for it. I wouldn't trust a cardboard shipping box. Seen too many damaged in transit. But a suitcase or something sturdy would be great.

I've shipped bikes via FedEx. I've been very happy with the process.
