My friends ditched me at the bar (left while I was in the bathroom), the ride home sucked, and I just broke a toe. Oh yeah, and I didn't work again today. Or get a check for work I did a month or so ago.

Today sucked.

Ouch, sorry to hear that. I got sucky friends too- I keep the riff-raff to a minimum because of that.

Sorry to hear about your toe. Will you still be able to ride tomorrow for your group ride?

Oh I'll ride, broken toe or not. The love of the ride supercedes the pain, you understand. :)

I understand. I have some black and blue bruises all over my knees, but I still will make the ride to Downers Grove tomorrow morning. :) Viva la bike!

Like Koffee, I chose my friends very carefully. None of the people I would consider friends would even think of doing that. For those that I don't really consider friends, I just chose the activity and the setting very carefully, so if they bail, I don't really care.

For reasons sucha s this I count freinds on the fingers of one hand. If they will not wait two minutes for you to pee, they won't stop to call 911 when you get tagged.

Yup. And to that end, the count of "real" friends currently resides around 6 total.

Dude, sorry to hear about your day.

Actually, I had a good day, but a horrifying evening... so I thought until I read about your accident. Kinda put my day into perspective, and I wasn't so mad anymore.

Hope you're ok and you can get that bike replaced! And if I were you, I'd go to a different location and get them to put together a police report for you. Did you go to the station at N. Larabee (I think that's how it's spelled).
