This was built off an abandoned frame, I call it the HAROble. Most of the parts are bits we had laying around. The fork is from a GT, the Brahamas and wheels came from the original, the headset was one we couldn't get anyone to buy(a Tank). The saddle is a refurbished Ideale(Abandoned and hidden beneath a seat cover. Some soap and oil and polish made it beautiful as new). To make it a single speed I took the cogset apart, stacked all the cogs on, then most of the spacers, then the used cog, another spacer, and the lock ring, SOme playing with cogs and chainrings let me get a a snug chain with no tensioner, 42x21. I added a basket as we use it to run errands. Since I took the pictures we have added a cup holder to the basket and a Zound air horn.

Probably a real blast to ride around on, in a "I don't give a damn" kinda way.

Nice looking rig, I have two similar projects going on, one is a late eighties Gitane crap bike (but rather nice frame) and an eighties Univega with good quality parts but having spent ten years outside it looks like a heap of poo. But it gives a gret deal of satisfaction to get the old buckets run smoothly as SS.

The funny thing is that's prolly as good as my bike.
