Who knew that there was a food that wasn't enhanced with beer. I'm still gagging with every burp after eating raw brocolli and chasing it down with beer :wtf: Truly disgusting.

Germans make good beer. They taught the world to brew.

Yeah, but Canadians perfected it  Wait, you're getting me to hijack my own thread. I saw how you did that :notamused:

Why are you using past tense?

StupidlyBrave

OK, back on topic.

I'm Irish, but I still prefer American beer to Canadian or Irish beers.

Sorry, but I'm not biting.

Canadian beer is much superior to American Beer.

What were you thinking of to put broccoli in your mouth, anyway? It does not go with anything, it is just grown, or manufactured, or wherever it comes from, to give mothers something to torment innocent children with!

This is supposed to be a thread about beverages that don't compliment foods. So, which food do you spoil with that American Beer :D

It's called roughage. Good for the colon. No one said staying healthy meant eating tasty food.

Irish whiskey is far superior to Canadian whisky.

But I can't say that I have ever eaten something that's been spoiled by beer of any origin.

I don't like beer with food all that much. Broccoli would be super gnarly!

Fish and Chips practically require beer.
Buffalo wings practically require beer.

Everything else I'd rather wash down with water or wine (or coffee with sweets). I don't even like pizza with beer.

Apparently you're not human  ... and yes, broccoli (thanks for the correct spelling) with beer is super gnarly.

I've only eaten one thing that was complimentary.

However, I've eaten many complementary things, as well.

Pig snout tacos and a soda drink. They gotta be with something sweet like coffee or a non-carbonated fruit drink in the summer.

You can enjoy a similar taste sensation in a sparkling beverage if you get a Beverly Aperitif (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beverly_(drink))

No sangria for you? If they got aguas frescas, I choose one of those. If I'm at a fancy joint having a plate of langostinos and they got decent wine, perhaps a glass of white.

chocolate and orange juice

oranges and chocolate drink

Funny you say this... one of my favorite treats is a chocolate orange!

Now oranges with chocolate milk, maybe another story... I generally drink water or ice teas so most things go with that. For me milk would be an issue... if I want to make myself really sick I have milk, mac and cheese and ice cream for dessert. Instant body clean-out!!!

What the heck is wrong with that? H.S. Thompson loved that combo! The everclear helps bring out some of the evil in the peyote!

Well, I guess I should have been more specific. since peyote buttons = guaranteed involuntary purge, do not wast the everclear by drinking it in advance. Wait until after vomiting, then consume it. :innocent:

Wrong.

A pint of Murphys Stout with a scoop of vanilla ice cream is one of the best floats ever.

I made a Budweiser Milkshake in college after watching Nick Nolte in Cannery Row. This first one sucked, but after 5 or 6, they get better.
