So I had to change the back tube on my single speed with a coaster break. But for the life of me i was not able to get the back wheel straight for the life of me. Any advice is much appreciated, since I don't have time to take it to a shop.

First, leave the brake arm hardware loose. Insert both sides into the dropouts. Then tighten down one side at a time, centering the wheel with your thumb and index finger. Tighten the brake arm hardware last.

thanks that makes alot more sense, the brake arm was what kept pushing it off center.
