Depending on how much I fidget when I stand on the scale, I'm either at 216.4 (lost a whole 2/10 of a pound!) or 215. Seems I paying for having lost 3 lbs the week before last by not having lost much this past week.

ok. I'm hooked up here. I'm in, starting now.

279.5 this morning. down 8.5 lbs since Feb 1.

I have a goal of getting to 220, and the reward is (up to ) a $3500 bike.

do the math, that's about fifty bucks a pound. There's motivation right there.

As I lose the weight, I put it in a separate ING account.

278 today, a new LOW!!!! I haven't seen 278 in years. :) I might be finally moving down off the plateau, of the last 4 days 3 have been under 280, but yesterday was 281. I bought a set of heavier dumbells for weight training and soon I'll be riding outside again. We'll know soon.

Looking back now I see a nice improvement, even during this plateau.

Week 2 - 295 lbs (start)
Week 3 - 291.5 lbs
Week 4 - 284.4 lbs
Week 5 - 282.5 lbs
Week 6 - 280.2 lbs
Week 7 - 281.3 lbs
Week 8 - 282.0 lbs
Week 9 - 280.0 lbs
Today 10 - 278.lbs

2/8 - 235.0 down 2 lbs

Back down the 2 lbs I gained the week before. Loss of 20 lbs since December 21st. Only rode 9 miles last week on the trainer. Still getting over being sick.

It got to 55 degrees yesterday here in Michigan and again today. I got outside yesterday for 16.2 miles and plan on going out again today before the rain starts late tonight for the next 5 days...

I ate like crap on the weekend and onlu managed to drop one pound all week. That is my lowest number since I started tracking my weight loss. I am however down 30lbs since I began on Boxing Day so really no complaints. This past week also reminded me how important diet is to your well being. Although I was not sick sick I sure didn't feel as good as I normally do when eating proper foods.

I'm struggling with the scale...I started out here at 211 and weighed in on Monday at 214.:(

I have been riding a lot more. For the last month, I've ridden several 34 mile rides and did 40 miles the last couple of weekends. I'm still a beginner so I'm hoping my body is adjusting to the additional work load. This past week I did begin to 'feel' differently...sleeping more soundly, cravings much reduced, recovery after a long ride not taking nearly as long. I'm hoping that now I will begin to see some change on the scale.

Worst week of my diet, since Novemeber 8th! Gained almost 4 pounds, up from 196.1 to 200.0.
All winter, I've been on my Schwinn Airdyne indoors. This past week, weather improved and I biked outdoors 5 days, for 74 miles. But my weight seemed to creep up. Then this week end, I sort of fell off the wagon. Birthday party, had a piece of cake. Then ate out at Mexican restaurant. I had a healthy meal, except I ate too many chips.
Then there were the cinnamon rolls.
Almost seems at times, when I bike a lot, I gain weight. Wondering what could be the cause. Drinking too much Gatoraid? Don't feel like I'm eating too much during or post-ride.
But I'm still way down from my November weight of 221.

This doesn't sound like falling off a wagon, sounds like a couple bites of food, and a birthday. I see no problem. Remember, weight fluctuates a bit. I try not to worry if one week it spikes, the next it drops, etcetera.

Also, for me at least, I always gain 3-4 pounds after a long bike ride (>75 miles). It falls off over 2-3 days, but it happens every time. I've never figured out why, but I've never really worried. I mean, if on day 0 I weigh X pounds then ride 100 miles, and on day 1 I weigh x+3 pounds, I still figure I'm getting healthier and fitter by biking, why stress?

Forgot to post last week...

Anyways, 225. Down a pound and a half from 2 weeks ago.

With the weather finally starting to turn for the better, I've been able to get outside for a couple rides this past week. Actually as I type this I just got back from a short ride. The other day I was able to get out for 30 miles...and it felt great. Looking forward to the constant nice weather days.

Same goals as last time.
