Howdy

I need to replace the above BB and are trying to source an alternative and think a shimano 4500 bb may fit but im not sure. Its a 68mm (the exo) bb but im unsure if the end cups of the shimano are all the same diameter ie are they a universal diameter other than the different thread types

Thanks for looking

What BB interface does your crankset require?

It's a mega exo bb, which is external.

OP: Stick with the proper replacement external BB - that would be the FSA Mega exo that is spec'ed for your specific crank (which you forgot to tell us).

I seem to remember prior posts from folks who swapped Shimano BB's for FSA's due to the FSA BB reputation for lack of durability. OP, did you do a search on the Forum?
