Hey Y'all,
I just built up my new ride & everything seems to be dialed in fine. When I swap in my trainer tire/rim, the RD no longer reaches the smallest cog. On my previous rig, this was never a problem.
Some quick background:
"Normal" rear is Ksyrium SL
Trainer rear is Xero Lite(?)
Both have identical 12-25 shimano cassettes.
The only "odd" thing that I've noticed is that I did not use the Shimano supplied spacer on the Ksyrium- I only used the Mavic spacer. I do not notice any play in the cassette/freehub assembly this way. When I had both spacers on the Ksyrium, the RD hesitated (alot) when shifting to the smallest cog- in spite of all possible adjustments. It's like the (shimano) spacer put the smallest cog just out of the RD's reach- even with the limit screw all the way out.
I should also add that my other set of Ksyrium SLs used both spacers and shifted fine on the old bike. I no longer have either, so I can't test it here.
Any ideas would be great!
