Does anyone out there in forum land have any experience using SRAM cassettes on Shimano drive systems?
I was just wondering how their performance was when used with Shimano equipment.
Thanks.

I use the SRAM 11-23 on my Ultegra driveline and I must say it is awesome and quiet plus I think it is 34 grams lighter than the Shimano cassette.
In most instances I prefer SRAM cassettes. I just have much better luck with SRAM chains and cassettes.
how come raiyn? im about to get a new chain and cassette. i currently have a all 105 setup

I was thinking just the opposite. I've always had better luck with Shimano cassettes. I guess this might be a good place to say YMMV.

I replaced my Dura Ace chain and cassette with SRAM. Saved a ton of $, and have never been happier with the performance. They seem soo much more quiet and smooth, and my shifting has never been better.

It's my experience that the SRAM stuff lasts longer and works smoother. Right now I'm running a SRAM R-9 (Now rebadged as the PG-970) on my commuter bike and it's simply beautiful. As Retro hinted results may vary from person to person. For me they simply work MUCH better.
Those who say they prefer Sram cassettes, do you use them with Shimano or Sram chains?

All Shimano for me. Shimano cassettes are much stiffer which leads to firmer more positive shifts.
Can you use SRAM??...yes

Perhaps you should push on the cogs with your finger...SRAMs flex..Shimanos do not. Shimanos carrier technology at work.

I use either SRAM chain or my favorite is the Wipperman SST man that is a sweet combo with my SRAM cassette.
