There's an indonesian pedicab on craigslist (http://denver.craigslist.org/bik/1634150839.html) in my city for $300. It likely needs a lot of work, and I'm not sure if parts are standard or custom fabricated for these things. I'm in Denver, so gears wouldn't be as much of a problem as in other cities, and I think I could make my money back in a few weekends. What do you think?

id take a look at it in person, if the frame looks good it might be worth bargaining....thats a sweet ride, i cant say if that price is good or bad

The older foreign pedicabs are usually single-speed, so if you live anywhere remotely hilly, they're out. Parts may or may not be available, but probably won't be available at your local bike shop, at least.

If my wife wouldn't shoot me, and that was local, I'd pick it up and try to get it going, but I wouldn't be expecting to make money back, either.

You may need a business license and/or insurance to operate it commercially, check into that before planning to make your money back on it.

That's cool. You should call just to know what work is needed. It would be worth it just as a project bike. Perfect for parades.
