hi wes, im not close to you but the moonlight ramble is this sat night in stlouis at midnight :)there will be plenty of riders to ride with .bout 10,000 of them.route is 19 miles or 13 depending on which is suited for you. ill be there with 4 others. wife and i will be on a mtb tandem.look for the bikeforums.net tshirt ill be wearing and stop and say hi. this is a fun ride.its the oldest night ride in the country . 40th anniversary.

I'm new to road cycling as well, but I'd like to suggest that you try to join a cycling club in your area. Try inquiring at your local bike store to find out about clubs in your area. Good luck with your riding!

Hey Wes.....welcome to the board. Not sure where Festus is so I assume it's nowhere close to me....lol. I'm in SW Mo halfway between Joplin and Springfield. So what bike did you buy??
