Yes. I don't know what the hell they have done to Fire Fox in the last 6-8 months but I can't stand it anymore. Sad really.

I'd go to chrome, but in the irony of ironies it does not support google toolbar. Which I use for bookmarks. My work machines, home laptops, and home desktops all have google toolbar loaded. I bookmark in one place and it appears to all.

Try it and see if you like it. I have it loaded, but don't like it at all so I probably use it even less than IE (FF is my primary browser)

I've got the latest FF, IE8, Safari for Windows, and Chrome. Of the four, Chrome is probably my favorite. The new FF is faster, but I'm not too keen on the new toolbar.

Thing is that Chrome won't let me play the embedded videos here on BF. Neither will Safari. And both can be a little twitchy when it comes to anything that has Flash content. Slacker radio won't load properly half of the time.

FF and IE don't have as many issues with playing Flash content.

You don;t need to use the Google toolbar in Chrome. Just type your search in the URL space and it searches...

I'm running Chrome on both my PCs at home. It has a few faults, but it rare that I ever have to fire up IE for anything.

Chrome is pretty good. Personally, I like Firefox because of the large amount of plugins available. Admittedly, some of these add ons can cause problems, but I can't blame Mozilla for that.

I like chrome, but there are odd bugs. Especially with bikeforums. I hides some posts...for some reason. Otherwise its my favorite browser to date

I love Chrome. It is fast and stripped down compared to others out there.

Just download it and try it out. You can have multiple browsers installed and if you don't like it then uninstall it.

I tried chrome a while back and really couldn't forget firefox. Now chrome has extensions it has become my main browser and firefox is left behind. Just wish it had good mouse gestures...

I have IE (which I never use, except to check website compatibility), Safari, Opera, Chrome, and Firefox.

Firefox has been having lots of issues lately (slow loading, random crashes, caching things forever - even after clearing the cache) and such, so I've been using Chrome more. I still prefer Firefox, though.

Of course, one of the major things I hated about Chrome is now part of Firefox after the latest update... Opening a link in a new tab doesn't put it at the end of the row of tabs, it opens it right next to the tab you're in. I can't stand that.

chrome FTW!... it's the first thing i installed on this laptop...

Chrome is pretty good. I like it's simple UI, as I don't need that many tools to surf the webz. But FF w/ABP gets the nod for viewing BF. I hate those targeted ads that Google uses. Cycling related ads I would tolerate on a site like Bike Forums, but ones for automobiles, vacations, and other totally non relevant ads are annoying.

Chrome with AdBlock Plus also blocks the BF ads. I am using it right now. One of the many extensions now available for Chrome. It is now my default browser due to the better speed. And I used to be a dyed in the wool FF person.

What's the easiest way to swap all my bookmarks from FF to Chrome?

Use Xmarks. I have it installed on all my work and personal machines, totalling seven in all. I have to use IE 7.0 on my work machine, and use FF or Chrome on everything else. With Xmarks, I am able to keep the favorites/bookmarks synchronized on all the different browsers and machines.

But if you just want to import FF bookmarks to Chrome, Chrome has an 'import data' function under Options that will allow you to do that.

I don't see anyone mentioning the biggest thing that sets Chrome apart from the rest:
I runs a separate process for each tab!
All other browsers use a single process, so if one tab gets hung up trying to load a page, everything comes to a halt until it loads.
By using a process for each tab, no tab ever needs to wait on another one.

This same functionality is on the roadmap for Firefox, but don't expect to see it for at least a year.

Made the switch to chrome and I'm happy. Only thing that doesn't work is the garmin communicator but honestly, I haven't looked much into it.

Mine all switched over when I went from FF to Chrome. I had to ad a few passwords, but the switch was pretty painless - and recommended too.

Why not use multiple browsers as the mood strikes? I use Opera and Firefox. Opera is faster and has slicker Aero Glass integration (with Z1-Glass theme) but Firefox has the neat plug-ins and better ad blocking with Adblock Plus. That and the Firefox Plugin for Speed Dial just isn't as good as what is built into Opera. They both have their strengths and weaknesses. Get sick of one, switch to the other. Hell, have both open at the same time for doing different things.

I use IE at work for specific work-related applications that only work on IE. For any other internet needs at work, I normally use FF, but trying Chrome out starting today, because things seem so slow lately. Chrome is noticeably faster. We use Safari at home.

Haven't got around to trying Opera yet.

i left firefox for safari and never looked back. safari is MUCH faster. now i'm using chrome and i'm happy so far.
