Classic & Vintage - peugeot tube special

i happened to find a 1980 ish record du monde tube special in a dumpster, its in alright condition surprisingly, but needs new grips tires and a seat. anyone know how much it could fetch as is? also how much if i bought the new stuff for it.

"Tube special allegre peugeot"= UO8 from seventies. Five to twenty five bucks, not really uncommon, but a nice ride. Fix it up and use it as a beater. They make nice fixies.

"Record du Monde"= catchphrase on nearly every Peugeot, from the lowly AO8 to the mighty PX10.

k thanx, i just saw a few on ebay that were like it and were selling for 150+ so i thought it may fetch the same.

Well, you've got 'em coming out of your ears so you're not willing to pay much more than this, which is a typical garage sale, rummage sale or Goodwill bins price.

In Portland, once these bikes make their second stop in a second hand store, the going price is more like $100 to $150, which is probably more than I'd be willing to pay also, but it's still a good deal for someone who wants reliable basic transportation if the bike is in good shape.

Guilty as charged, but that's what they sell for here. Not hard to find at all.

well, if anyone wants it, im gonna list it on ebay in a week or so (whenever the next free listing day comes around) it will be starting at just 99 cents, and shipping seems to be fixed at right about $40
