Classic & Vintage - Help id-ing the builder of my 90's? Greg Lemond Ventoux

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hello. I have a GL Ventoux with the Shimano 600 group on it. It has handmade and Greg Lemond engraved into the brake bridge SN: 050401 on the BB. I bought it at least 12 years ago, love to ride it and just was curious if it's a Billeto or someone else. It's from Ten Speed Drive Imports and their SN: 06323.
Thanks!

Billato did make many of the early Lemonds, but not all. Given it's from TSD as you say, it's more likely to be Billato than some other builder, but pics would help the experts (which does not include me).

I remember hearing from a frame importer/distributer back around 1993 that some of the steel LeMonds were built in Columbia by Canopus.
