There was a recent thread about coffee makers, and I posted my usual recommendation to buy a Capresso MT-600 or MT-500 model, since it is considered one of the finest drip coffee makers.
I was at our local Trader Joe's yesterday, which is next door to Tuesday Morning, a chain of stores selling clearance merchandise. I was interested to see that they had about six units of the Capresso MT-500 new in the box selling for $ 100. Capresso discontinued that model recently, and they must be moving out the old stock. This is a tremendous price, given that it usually sells for $ 150-200 depending on where you find it. I was tempted to buy one just to have it on hand in case my five year old Capresso MT-500 ever breaks. If they get down to $ 50, I might do just that and put it in the garage.
So if you are looking for a new drip coffee maker and Tuesday Morning is in your area, go check it out.
