Pretty healthy! They run a pretty good series up there. Also, Akron put on a Winter 'cross series of three races last season, and plans on a more extended season this year. No shortage of races to do!
Check out this webste: www.teamlakeeffect.com .
You will see a list of last years races. They will most likely be the same this year.
Bike Authority sponsors a nice fall series in Suburban Cleveland. You're not too far from us either. As mentioned above Team Lake Effect is sponsored by them.

Also the past two seasons Shawn Adams of Lake Effect hosted a weekly Tuesday Clinic/workout in Regan Park in Medina from late Aug through the time change. I have attended the workout and can attest to it helping in races. Regan Park has miles of mtb trails, walkways and grassy areas. Medina is only about 20 miles from Oberlin.

So, you're actually allowed to ride in Regan park? In the Early Eighties we rode in the Metro Parks in the Brecksville Reservation and Strongsville Reservation. Today the Rangers have MTB's so it's a lot tougher to get away. Plus the fact I'm over 50. :(

I'm over 50 also and I still would try to outrun one of those Metro Park Rangers on their 50 lb "do it all bikes", plus think of all the weight the gun, bullets, kevlar vest, tazer, radio, mace and ticket book weighs. Since Medina City horse owners don't have high political connections, like the Metro Parks Commissioners do, Regan Park welcomes cyclist to use the park. Regan Park has miles of really good trails for MTB's.
