what are your thoughts on this bike below. is it worth the money for the spec? how would you rate it out of ten?

well, it has wheels, so that's good.

I definitely think you could get a better spec'd bike for almost $800 though. I don't know what's available in the UK, but in the US I'd go for a rockhopper over that- the comp disc model goes for like $700.

Claud Butler may have had a good name a few Years ago but looking at this bike- Don't bother. Nothing on this bike to recommend it- Unless it is around £250 which it isn't.

Find a decent shop that carries Trek-Giant-Specialised and see what they can do.

Problem is that for £500 you are not going to get much- but this one is nothing. Forks- wheels- gear train are too low spec for any rough riding- and that includes the potholed roads we have at present.

hi many thanks. i am getting one on the cycle to work scheme and i have no idea about mt bikes! i have 500 to spend and want to get the best for my money.....
