We decided to go for a bike ride before the temperature passed 100.

For this ride, 25 MPH head winds.

Wow, cool area out there! I've done a few Tour of Borrego rides and the Borrego to the Sea once. I'm always shocked at the desert beauty of that area!:thumb:

I really liked the little museum/visitor center near Borrego.

Looks like there will be lots of flowers out in the desert this year! It's pretty when it's green like that.

Because of the amount of rains we got so far, they are expecting an abundant amount of flowers. We were about two weeks early, however, as the whole desert floor will likely be covered in purple, white, red, and green by the end of the month.

It's a desert where hundreds of acres are apparently owned by the man behind Avery Labels. He commissioned a nearby artist to create these sculptures of animals that once roamed the area.
