Just got a Hyda Bike frame. It looks like it takes a 25.6 seatpost and a 21.1 stem. I'm 6'2", so this will be an interesting challenge to get it to fit me even somewhat close. :) Has anyone put a longer seat post and stem on one of these?

Pictures soon.

I saw your response. I'm already starting to wonder if it'll work for me, but I'm not ready to give up on it yet. :)

My 5 year old son (who is 4' tall) has taken an interest in it, so maybe I'll fix it up for him when he's big enough.

The parts are made by Sicur, it has 96mm fork spacing and 115mm rear spacing. 70mm bottom bracket, both sides go lefty loosey. Italian I assume. (The "Made In Italy For KTC" decal gave it away. :D ) The handlebars are worrisome, as it appears the brake levers were welded/brazed on after the bars were installed. The brakes are shoddy stamped steel. (I have spare BMX brakes, so that's not an issue.) I can only imagine what the wheels must have been like! The 25.6 seat post appears to be after market, as it was made in 2001.

I removed the cottered crank, and I have a square taper spindle marked 5T that appears to work with the bottom bracket cups, which are in surprisingly good shape. After I took the pictures, the chain guard basically fell off.

I was able to get a 25.4mm x 400mm seatpost, and it works great. However, I've measured my other bikes, and from the pedal spindle to the top of the seat is about 97cm where I'm comfortable, and the tallest safe height I can get on this bike with 170mm cranks is about 90cm, so unless I can find a super tall seat, I won't be able to ride this bike comfortably for long distances. The stem is 21.1mm and about 11 inches long, and there's no marking for safe insertion height, so I estimate at least an inch or two should go inside the steerer tube. Brakes aren't a problem, the Tektro 984 BMX brakes (with FS on the rear) work fine. I also picked up a set of 20" wheels that work, from a late 1990s Redline bike, with 48 spokes.

It seems to work okay, but a little flexy for me. (6'2" 230 lbs.) Perhaps my 5'10" dad will be interested in it.
