Triathlon - Would this bike be ok for sprint and international distance triathlons?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
My girlfriend currently rides a 2004 Specialized Allez, but she wants to upgrade to a carbon frame and start doing sprint triathlons this season. She found this Orbea Diva (http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/bik/1648998207.html) because she likes that particular color, and she wants to use it mostly for century rides and the occasional sprint and international distance triathlon. Would this road bike be suitable for those purposes, and/or are there any known issues or recalls with that particular model? Thanks for the replies; this will help us decide whether to even pursue buying this from another state and having it shipped here.

Since the bike is $3500 wouldn't it better to just get a carbon frame bike with an adjustable seat tube angle that can function as both a Tri//TT and road bike like the Cervelo S2 or Kestrel Talon?

3.5k and all you get is Ultegra? the allez is suitable, that is great, but I think there are better deals to be had, whatever she chooses, if she is in that price range, she will like what she gets.
